High blood pressure is also known as hypertension. One should take care if it is prolonged. Hypertension (otherwise, more correctly arterial hypertension) is a serious state which seldom carries all the symptoms and which can lead to the race, heart attack, cardiac arrest, arterial aneurysm or renal failure - which is state representing a danger to the life.

Hypertension: Readings of blood pressure are measured and usually given like 2 numbers. The higher number is your systolic pressure, the pressure created when your palpitations. It is considered it high if it is uniformly more than 140.
The lower number, pressure inside the blood vessels when the heart is at rest is your diastolic pressure. It is considered high if it is uniformly more than 90, One or the other or all the two numbers can be too high.

Hypertension previous stage is called as pre HBP, when your diastolic blood pressure is from80 to 89 or your systolic blood pressure is from 120 to 139 on the multiple readings. If you have pre-hypertension, you may develop hypertension with a certain point. Measurements of blood pressure are the result of the force of the blood produced by the heart and the size and state of the arteries. Many factors can affect the blood pressure that makes Hypertension, including how much water and salt you have in your body, the state of your kidneys, the nervous system, or the blood vessels, and the levels of various hormones of body. Hypertension can affect all the types of people. You have a larger risk of hypertension if you have family past history of the disease. Hypertension is more common in the African Americans.

The major part of time, no cause is identified for Hypertension. This is called essential hypertension. The hypertension which results from a specific state, the practice or the drug - called secondary hypertension. Too much salt can lead to hypertension.

Secondary hypertension can also due to: Adrenal tumor, Alcohol poisoning, certain cold medicines, Use of cocaine, Syndrome of Cushing, Diabetes, The disease of kidney, including: Failure of kidney, Obstruction renal, Medicines of migraine, Obesity, Pain, Pregnancy.

The major part symptoms can include: Confusion, Pain of trunk, Irregular palpitation, Changes of vision to the Hypertension. If you have a serious headache or symptoms the one of above, see your doctor immediately. This can be signs of a complication or a hypertension called malignant hypertension.

The signs and the tests: If measurement is high, your doctor can think that you have hypertension. Measurements must be repeated with time, so that the diagnosis can be confirmed. The goal of the treatment is to reduce the blood pressure so that you have a lower risk of complications. There are many various medicines which can be employed to treat hypertension.
